What Everybody Ought To Know About Taking An Emotional Support Animal Onto Flights

Our world has changed over the years. We live in a world where students need an emotional support animal to get them through the day.

For the last couple of years, we have heard the term “snowflake” and “safe space” within our young college and University communities.

With the greatest respect to them, we realize how stressful exams and young life can be when you are under constant pressure to keep up with your student buddies.

To get to a stage where students now need emotional support animal tells us we’ve hit a brick wall for over-sensitive and anxious youths.

Pebbles the Hamster

This recent story about a young university student who wanted to take her emotional support hamster onto a flight is just another sad story that fails to include a happy ending.

Belen Aldecosea who is a Florida student asked a representative from Spirit Airlines in advance whether she could take her emotional support pet hamster onto the flight.

The representative agreed that she could but on the day of the flight, Spirit Airlines denied entry.

She stated that the airline employee advised her to “flush the Hamster down the toilet” or let it loose outside before getting on the flight.

The 21-year-old student backed into a corner with the decision and needed to get on that flight or else. She flushed the hamster down the toilet as it was her only choice although maybe letting it loose would be the most humane option?

The student was in a great deal of distress after flushing the hamster down the toilet and sat crying for 10 minutes after the horrific process was complete.

A spokesman for Spirit Airlines denied any involvement with the killing of the animal but said the employee misinformed her about taking the animal on the flight.

The spokesman showed sympathy in an email to the student and, the staff gave no advice on killing the animal in this way.

The whole situation of sensitive and emotional youth has spiraled out of control in recent times and the emotional support animal addition is just another way of letting people know they’ve got anxiety problems.

Believe it or not, there was an emotional support animal called “Dexter The Peacock” who Delta Airlines denied entry for the flight going to Los Angeles.

The owner of the Peacock who is a performance artist paid for a seat so the peacock can sit next to the distressed artist.

What’s going to be next, a therapy pet called “George The Giraffe”?
